Among the struggles US soldiers contend with, there is one enemy that is steadily gaining on them. Alcohol abuse has reached an all time high in the US military. For nearly 20 years, reports have shown that alcohol abuse within the ranks has grown, despite attempts by officials to curtail consumption. Studies have shown that soldiers 18 to 25 are more likely to drink than civilians the same age.
